A week or so before I left for Indo, the Malibu community gave Dusty the proper send off, waterman style: the paddle-out. There must of been several hundred people in this circle. That is a large boat on the other side of the circle to give some sort of scale.

Before I left for Indo, Augor and I went out to shoot some more photos. As I have mentioned before, I am trying to keep a balance between photos released online and keeping some on ice so there are fresh images for the art show and book I am working on for the end of 2009.
This is a familiar position for many graff artists, organizing paint in the trunk of the car before walking to a spot. Taken from the perspective of the drivers seat.
Bali swell pt. 3
As this post goes online, I will already be just pulling up to the first surf on a boat for 2 weeks, in the middle of Western Sumatra, Indonesia. Hopefully the waves will be pumping. I am heading there with a handfull of friends and some strangers who I am sure will become friends. There will still be new posts on here while I am away, just timed and spread out. So keep checking back.

oh padang (part two)
Padang yesterday. Shot from a Jetski. Im pumped someone got it. There are local guys that make really good livings off of shooting photos of visitors such as myself, and sell them. They are real good at what they do. This is one frame from a 29 shot sequence of the whole wave.
