This is Salin’s Warung. There are probably a couple dozen of these on the cliff in front of Ulu. Warungs are little huts that typically serve food and sometimes have some little shopping. You can check the surf, get breakfast, and get a 30 minute massage all at the same spot. And all for under $10. No exageration.
Post surf wash off in the pool in the back of the awesome Villa Macbeth. I will post more photos of our place soon. As well as more photos of the surf.
This is what 65,000 Rupiah looks like in cash. Balling out of control until you realize that this equates to a little under $65 dollars U.S. It will get you a long way out here.
Bali version of a Hybrid.
Squirly transpo. The scooters cost aorund $4 a day to rent on the expensive end. You can find them other places for $2.
Nick got axed and a slight bali tattoo after not heeding warning of paddling harder at Uluwatu. This is after the lime rubdown. You scrub the reef cuts with lime to prevent infection. Kills the possibility for growth of the reef inside of your skin and getting Staph Infection.
Afternoon Bintang session. A 24 oz Bintang beer (the local indonesian brew) costs around 75 cents. Rough life. To be continued…
